Forgive me if this topic has already been discussed in this forum: A search didn't turn up anything relevant.
I was wondering what the benefits are in buying a premium diesel fuel versus the supermarket variety I tend to buy, where price is the primary motivator. I typically buy at Tesco.
A BMW friend reckons Shell V-Power diesel is the best fuel. So I was thinking of filling up on a few tankfuls to see what the benefits actually are and if they match what Shell says (http://is.gd/7fr3BY).
Then I saw the price: around 5p/litre more than regular diesel. In my neighbourhood, that means about £1.46/litre so a full tank will cost me more than £100.
Is it worth it, do you think?
