Dension Gateway / Ice link Plus

Hoping somebody in the know can tell me the advantages of a Gateway vs Ice Link Plus Dension units please?

Would I be correct in assuming that with the Ice link, you have to use the iPod to change tracks whereas the Gateway you can use the Symphony unit plus MFSW?

I assume you mean the Ice Link Lite. Yes with this device its just a straight connection from the ipod to the aux input on the stereo. Everything has to be controlled from the ipod.

With the Gateway Lite you can control it from the stereo.

With the Gateway 100 onwards the track titles and menu is shown on the cars CAM in dash display if you have that option.

A little extra info on this, with the GW100 onwards you can see the track titles etc. on the dash if you use the GW interface to control the iPod. However I find it extremely frustrating to use this interface and the random is very poor therefore I use the iPod interface instead. The downside to using the iPod interface is that it doesn't display the track titles etc. on the dash in this mode however it does on the iPod/iPhone itself so if you have the cradle then you should be good.
