Concert radio TA

Recently swapped a B7 Avant for a new B8 avant. On the whole the new car is great but the Concert radio traffic info recording doesn't seem as good. On the B7 you could set it to record traffic info from say 17:00 and it would record the traffic info from whatever rado station you left it tuned to.

In the B8 it seems to randomly pick a radio channel to listen for taffric info. Instead of recording info from the local radio station I left it on it seems to record Classic or some other national station. The traffic reports aren;t relevant.

Anyone know if it can be made to work like the B7

I've had really mixed results with this feature. Sometimes it doesn't record anything at all when I'm not in the car. It always records when they come on during driving though. btw - I love that it records them if I'm on the phone.

I think the settings screen which lets you pick a source is actually for the TMC stuff, i.e the info screen listing all problems and the dynamic Sat Nav re-routing.

What works best for me is to leave the radio tuned to a BBC channel as then you usually get the local BBC stations interrupting with announcements. I know it works if I'm listening to a CD or on the phone. Actually, I don't know if you can get it to record instead of an interrupt when listening to a CD/AMI. That would be nice. Anyway, like I say, seems a bit hit and miss when using the timer based system.

Another thought.. I think there might be a setting for local only reports. I'll have a look next time I'm stuck in traffic :)
