rear wipe/ wash problems

hello again people. my rear wash wipe has stopped working. its not the fuse i've checked that, anyone any ideas and how do i get into the tailgate to investigate incase there's a loose wire etc.. how does the wiper get its power, is there a contact plate or is it wired direct to the motor. its on a A3 2006:mad:

I assume the wiper is working but the washer isn't ?

If you can hear the motor running and you have water in the bottle then STOP.

Remove the cover from the wiper arm and pull off the jet. Try the washer again and if water spurts out then clear the blockage in the jet and replace.

If not then STOP.

If the wiper isn't working then you have to remove the boot lid card and investigate but you need to know what you are doing !

Do a search on the subject as loads of threads since the freezing weather.

neither the motor or the wiper is working, i'll have to get someone to look at it as i haven't a clue what i'm doing. thanks for the reply
