View Full Version : Question Tyre pressue
I've got 19" RS6 style wheels on my B7 2.0 TDI saloon but im a bit puzzled by what psi i should be putting in my 235/35/19 tyres?
I was told 30psi in both the front and rear but since having them fitted ive read numerous values from different websites stating wildly varying ranges.:aargh4:
I tend to not have any massive loads within the car and do mostly motorway miles.
Cheers in advance,
Chev

I run 235/40/18s and I am running 38PSI. Generally the lower profile you go the higher PSI is required so I would have though 40PSI for you is worth trying...

Same size wheels/tyres as me.
When I got 4 wheel tracking done the guy reckoned that 39psi which I was running at the time was too high.
I'm now on 36psi and have been since November.
So far, even wear all round and everything seems ok.
Based on that I'd suggest a starting point at least, of 36.
I don't imagine you'll be far away from the right pressure at that.:beerchug:

235/40 R18's here at 36psi all round. All tyres, even the fronts were worn nice and evenly across the tread. I do a mix of 50/50 motorway and urban.

Is there any charts which give recommened pressures for different wheel sizes?
Thanks

To be honest I looked at the label on the drivers b-post which advised 35psi for my wheel size and load. 36psi was easier to see on the guage :D

A tyre told me i should be runnin them at 40! Which i thought was a bit much, ive got mine at 36-37psi and had no issues with uneven wear.
Edit: a tyre fitting guy told me ! Lol
