Hi there,
any help here would be much appreciated.
I drive a '54' Touran 2.0 TDi Sport with 60k that we have owned from new. No problem whatsoever until last September after rodent damage in the engine bay when several pipes were nibbled. Shortly afterwards, the car seemed to miss on tickover i.e when the car was started from cold it was ok but after a few minutes the engine would appear to miss every so often. 10 minutes later the problem would dissapear. Had it to an independent who changed 2 fuel pipes and also diagnosed an injector. They say that they were absolutely certain that the injector was faulty. Had the Injector and new loom fitted (£750) and guess what? Yes, the fault was still there. The garage had it for a week but found nothing so suggested having the other 3 injectors removed and tested at a cost of £500!! Hence, i`ve drove the car since then hoping the fault may develop but if anything it`s now less frequent??
I`m saying all this because my other half has call me tonight from her parents, 50 miles away saying the car is lacking power. Obviously at this stage, detailed info is limited but does anyone think it could possibly be linked in with the above or may we be looking at the turbo?
Also, if it turns out to be the turbo, because we`ve had it from new and had it serviced at the dealer (except once at the independant) I was hoping to go the good-will route but is it now too old (7 and half years) for VW to consider any help of good-will?
Many thanks in advance..

I would greatly appreciate any input here guys...
the problem with lack of power turned out to be a one-of event and has not happened since .
However, the miss-fire when the engine is cold is really frustrating now.
Any ideas?
