Evening all!!

Insurance is up for renewal, and i have got some favourable quotes, however, on a couple they have insisted a tracker is installed.

Does anyone know of a reputable company (cheap!) that i could contct for a quote on installation?

The only ones i have found so far have been £350 supply & install, plus yearly subs.

Cheers!:o

Had a tracker fitted to my Elise, though taking advice at a later date I'm not sure it was necessary (apparently they rarely get nicked). After some research I went with A Tracker Monitor (I thinkl!). Around £350 sounds about right, though its always worth negotiating on price. I also went with the 'life-time' subscription on the basis that I don't intend to sell the car in the near future.

Mine was fitted by a company up Warwick way. I can probably dig out the details if that helps.

Brill thanks for that.

The car was in the dealers for service today, so i asked them to give me a quote.

£1150 inc 1 years subscription for a Cobra !! :D

Bloody chancers!

I think ill go with Cobra direct as they are £350 + subs.

Whoaaaa.....hold on there son:aargh4:

This might help, not sure of your age but I'll post it up anyways.

My son + stepson passed their test around a year ago now and insurance was wayyyyyyyover the op on a 1.2 10 yr old Renault Clio I was getting quotes for £2500 - £4000.....The car was only worth around £1000:(

Anyhow, I put them through IKube Insurance ( check it out ).....they came back with quotes from around £1100 - £1500 AND installed a tracker as part of the deal.
There was a curfew instigated though from 11pm - 5am and unsure if that would apply....depends on your age / experience I guess.

Might be worth a call? :beerchug:

Mate had an old phone permanently plugged into a charger hardwired into electrics hidden behind boot interior trim. SIM only deal on the phone so no monthly fees and phone was on old one so free. Cost nothing really, if car ever stolen can be tracked online nowadays
