As every manly man knows, no matter what colour your head hair is, your facial hair will always contain traces of ginger.

Word has it that as you get older, these ginger traces start to turn a lighter colour which, if one was getting colour matched, they'd probably call Reflex Silver.

Being a hip young and trendy dude, I was wondering at what age you older folk started noticing these Reflex Silver hairs, you know, so I can, erm, prepare myself for the ... er ... future.

You just knew I was going to answer, weren't you? :D

Fortunately, at the grand old age of 42, My 'reflex silver' hairs are limited to a few on my sideburns...;)

However I have been told that as you get older you do get more and more facial hair, nose, ears, eyebrows, etc, so that in the end you will look like Denis Healey,

and not George Clooney

Just before 40, although I'm still not slick on top yet, got some pepper that the barber normally gets shot of for me, looks terrible on the floor, but not when I'm still wearing it.

As for age, I had a bit of a reminder this pm, lady next door in her 90's took a tumble and smashed her head open today, luckily I was doing some car work out the back and heard her go, got the rather excellent paramedics in to see to her, and hopefully she will be back home again soon, nothing quite like having a granny next door to keep an eye out for, I've been lucky I've had two in a row, and the delight in their faces when they get to fuss over the kids is magical, plus you don't get Ali Whatever with his bass machine this way either.

Bit of salt (maybe 2-3%) in the beard at 41, methinks a lot more by next year...

forgot to mention memory failing, but can still remember phone numbers learned 30 years ago

spooked by large groups of kids despite being 6'3"

can't remember any more, did I mention memory failing...

I found my first platinum highlight at the budding young age of 17... :(
Now at 24 there are quite a number sprouting from all over the place. My beard has been getting noticeably more ginger and my nose hairs noticeably longer. :aargh4:

I'll be sprouting ear hair next.

Fortunately my Dad is a spitting image of Sean Connery, so there's hope yet! :nervous:

Started turning silver at about 25.
Hardly any brown left now at 45 Lol
You do need more trimmers and clippers as you get older lol.

Never let it grow that much. There is silver in my generally blonde hair, though the hair is trying to leave at the grand old age of 47. :o

I am 21 now, and i have a fair bit of silver on the left side on my head, fond my first when i was 17 :( as for the beard its just a relentless assault of a mix of ginger an silvers and a few black...great fun

But to be honest i cant wait to be bald, think of all the money you would have saved on hair cuts!
