Wow that is a stunning A8 you have there, I love those wheels, were they originally fitted to A8's?

Nice motor indeed; in particular I like the alloys. I'd definitely have those over my standard 7-spoke ones!

Nice looking car. Those alloys look familiar from somewhere :)

They look like the forged alloy 20" wheel, which was the most expensive of the 10 different wheels they offered as options. Think they were about £2400 extra?

They are the mega expensive ones yes !!...not my choice though...the original owner (i am second) put £6k of extras on the car including those wheels...they are stunners !! ;)
Bad bits....they are supposed to be diamond cut and when I bought the car they had some kerb damage so I asked for them to be refurbished...which the dealer kindly did....In BRIGHT SILVER ....TBH they still look OK
Thanks for the comments :beerchug:

I have the same wheels, and when I needed them refurbed the guy said they could re-do the diamond cut polished front, but he would only warranty it for 3 months, or 2 years if it was all painted instead.
The reason for the short warranty is that it is very difficult to get the lacquer to stick on a highly polished surface, whereas they can etch the surface to get paint to stick. Sounds reasonable.
The original lacquer is flaking off mine, so Audi didn't manage to find a durable solution. Now that the worst of winter is over, I'll be getting mine painted silver

There is a firm in Lancaster who will re-diamond them back to factory, they did the ones on a friends escort rs turbo project car, but £120 each for the Audi against £45 for silver paint....

Is there a guarantee if they are repolished and lacquered? Just worried that if Audi hasn't found a way to get the lacquer to stick, then will aftermarket suppliers be able to do it? I'm only about 20 miles from Lancaster, so interested if they can do the job well - my local guy can do it, but doesn't believe they will last
