Hi folks, I have a 2.0 TFSI B7 S Line with the standard twin exit exhaust lower bumper trim.
The tips that I have on the exhaust now are old, sooted and shabby looking and I am not willing to get a complete system.
My question is about if anyone knows if the likes of the RS4 exhaust tips will fit or if anyone knows of any tips that look well or even any measurements ? I will be welding them on to make them look as best as possible.

The only tip that I have got so far on this question is to not ask about exhaust tips :)

Last chance salon.
Think of your future children & grandchildren who may indeed need to know the answer to this very question and spend time googling it to only find some weirdo lone poster replying to himself.
Help the cause !
lol, ok frig it, ill tell them what I have found so far ;
I have ordered an S4 lower bumper trim which supposidly has larger cut outs for the exhaust which should enable me to fit the RS4 size tips on her.

Don't think genuine RS4 tips will fit. I have a full system I'm trying to get fitted to my 3L tdi conversion. The RS4 tips are large ovals but they are fed by two smaller round pipes, the tdi has one larger round tip coming from silencers

Oh they will fit lol. I understand what you mean about the origanal being two pipes, one slightly smaller than the other but I am only going to be using the same sized tips rather than the actualy ( if I can find them )

Any exhaust fabricator will be able to do this for you. Where abouts are you ?

Am in Guildford.

By exhaust fabricators do you mean specialist fitters?

A4 Lad

I dont mean the likes of Kwik Fit lol.
Google exhaust fabricators. Most of the time they specialise in stainless steel systems. There is bound to be someone local for you

Is that in Surrey ? If so http://www.cheesmanproducts.co.uk/exceptional_quality.htm

It is in Surrey, do you have any experience with these guys?

A4 Lad

No, I am from Belfast. I just googled them for you. Its not a hard job to do an someone of even little expertise could do it. Those guys look and sound like they know what their doing so I dont think you would have to worry about them being confident enough. Give them ( or anyone else that you can find ) a ring and tell them what you have got

Thanks for info, love Belfast, used to live there

Did google for local services and those guys came up top, just wondering if my little job is too small for them. How do you think a company would handle it, bearing in mind I have basically all parts required?

Give them a ring. Im sure there will be glad of the business. Having your own parts will more than likely please them. No parts = No paper trail :)

Unfortunately they don't do type of work I'm looking for, contacted a few others, fingers crossed

I won't it's the only thing I need to do to complete the RS4 conversion. I just need the car jacked up to see the shape of the RS4 system versus the one on the tdi. I could probably do job myself, just no spare time at the mo

Wow, they must have been a dear one ! Have you wide arches and all then ?
Im sure she looks well. What colour ?

Two_Stripes
28-03-2011, 11:04 PM
They were bloody expensive, luckily a pair of casings came up on ebay just as I was about to order them and saved few hundred quid!

Have all the arches done etc, done in phantom black. only the exhaust to do!!!

A4 Lad
29-03-2011, 06:21 PM
mmm, Im sure she looks sweet :)
Is there a kit for the arches or is it wings, quater panels ect ? Your a bad man for planting idea seeds in my head ! Just as I write that, I dont think I will, I take it that new bumpers and all are required too ?

Two_Stripes
29-03-2011, 08:28 PM
You need to get new bumpers, side skirts, bonnet (if you like cos it's aluminium but actually same shape as standard bonnet, just lighter), two new rear doors, and the really tricky bits; front arches (bolt on), and rear arches both inner and outer (weld in).

Put it this way, I could have bought an ebay RS4 for less money than it's cost me to do this!!!

A4 Lad
29-03-2011, 08:34 PM
That is some amount of work and money ! Have you any pictures of her ?

Waiting on the exhaust to be done!...

Would you believe it though, never happened to me before but less than week after having shiney new job done, some a***hole hit it and drove off, dinged the (pretty much impossible to get hold of) lip of rear arch!!! :zx11:

Besterds !! If its going to happen anytime, that will be it
