Wind deflector fabric & power steering fluid.

Hi, has anyone ever replaced the fabric on their wind deflector? Just bought a cheap s/hand one with a cigarette burn hole and wondered if it could be done.

Also was using loads of steering fluid before i garaged the car last autumn. What is the most likely cause - Rack/pump or something else? Are they expensive jobs/labour intensive?

No idea about the fabric,

PAS problems are often caused by owners using PAS fluid, you may know already, but the system needs mineral oil, ideally to Audi spec G002000 which has now been superceded by G004000.
The PAS fluid seems to cause seals to fail, could be rack or pump. Both are expensive but there is a kit of seals for the rack and the cross headed plug on the pumps can also be re sealed.
