renaults are awesome.. not had a single problem with mine

tbh i think ill end up with a s3 or something as a 13 is a bit of a side step

and why wouldnt it be a daily car? are they unreliable

lol you are talking to a devotee of all things VAG, you wont change my views :p

a 13 side step? sorry, you lost me :(

as for the S3, no, not at all, not unreliable, just expensive, you wont get much to the gallon and i had presumed by daily driver, you meant something which was fun yet economical... hence my tdi suggestion :D

The MK1 Golf would be a fine daily driver, I had a Cabby for a year, didn't miss a beat.

AS for MPG the Golf will do about the same as the Renault. An S3 you will be lucky to get 25mpg and more like 20mpg:(

Welcome to the forum;)

that golf is a VR6

its 25 years old and a bit rickety, wouldnt fancy blasting it down the country lanes to work everyday

i think you have all missunderstood, the term daily driver just means something that isnt going to beak down, as long as i get more than 20mpg thats fine.

no diesel, petrol

around the 200 bhp mark

If cost is not a problem then an S3 will be great, just remember its insurance group 18/19 (225 model) and your 20;)
