Hi, sorry for the very random post...

I've recently had my hands burnt with an Audi A3 problem... which has resulted in me changing vehicles to an Audi A4 s-line 59 plate... ( I love the looks of this car!!!!)

Now, i'm probably being paranoid from my previous experience of owning an Audi A3 (turbo blew, because the garage couldn't identify a fault with a boost valve, plus numerous other problems within owning the car for 5 months)

With my A4, i experience quite a strange vibration through the pedals, is this normal??? When the car is idle, very occasionally, the car seems to shiver?
Finally, i'm getting about 43 - 47mpg on a good run... which I assume is good for the 2.0tdi? It's done 15k miles. (Had a Passat CC which was returning about 55mpg)

I know i'm probably paranoid :Blush2:
but the hassle i've had for the past 5 months has really dented my view of Audi's

Any advice is much appreciated.

Mine doesn't do it.

10 2.0 diesel CVT transmission

Only time it hestitates is when I crest a hill at speed, it seems as if it senses the negative G and shuts down for a very brief time. The wheels dont have to be off the ground, just when going over the crest it does it.

I have a 143bhp S-Line Avant which has now done 15k and I don't have this vibration/shiver - it sounded like a tractor on start up during the very cold weather but is back to super refined again.

I have an 2008 2.0Tdi S-Line and a few months back noticed a slight vibration in the pedals when bringing the clutch up, even when in neutral. This has since developed into a horrible grinding noise with even worse vibration. It's booked into garage this thursday for a new clutch and flywheel!

Let's hope you don't have the same problem.

I get this in our '08 2.0(143)Tdi. Manual. I find it bloody annoying tho!

Was going to mention it next time its in the dealer.

Anyone else come across this?

I had this problem too, dealer fitted a new clutch & dual mass flywheel. That solved the problem.
