I have just bought a Audi A4 1.8t with 28k on the clock and a "58" registration, having sadly said goodbye to my trusty 1999 Passat.
Where can I get a decent manual. I cannot see that Haynes have yet bought out a manul for the B8 and I guess that Bentley have a manual. However, if so, the latter would probabaly cost an arm and a leg and may be US centric / slightly different spec ?
Either a PDF or a hard copy would be good.
Anyone know where I can buy one ?

Search Ebay or dodgy download sites for 'Elsawin'. This is the official Audi workshop manual.

...and all are illegal backup copies of dealer only software.

Yes thats what I implied by 'dodgy download' sites. Am I not allowed to recommend these then?
If you want access to a ligit copy then go here:

and pay a fortune.

are you not allowed to recommend obtaining illegal versions of copyright software? Come now, that is a rhetorical question surely?
As most are aware, this forum is monitored by VAG - we have rules specifically pertaining to software piracy, detailed here :
VWAudi Forum - Additional Rules For "Copyright Material" - Please Read (http://www.vwaudiforum.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=40001)
specifically
This includes all links to people selling copies of ETKA, ETOS, ELSA, or ELSAWin

Thank you and, of course, I will comply fully with the Forum rules.
Can I be cheeky and ask a supplemental question - can I / where can I get a full parts list ? The VAGpart (English langauge) link on EKTA is not working at present and EKTA itself is in Russian.

I have a subscription to the Bentley Manual (http://www.bentleypublishers.com) and as usual, it's just brilliant. Even though, as some have mentioned, they're authored for the USA market you can get the gist for our cars. In fact, you really just have to translate 'hood, fender, tires, color and trunk' and you're more than 95% there.
I say 'as usual' because I've got the earlier version of eBahn reader for the Audi A4 B5 and books for Golf Mk2 and Golf Cabriolet. Honestly they're fantastic value. The A4 B8 manual cost me around $100 (I got a little bit of discount from Ross-Tech) and well, I think it's really good value.
