I had a test drive in an amarok on friday, absolutely awesome, cant wait for mine to arrive at the dealers ! does anybody know it touareg/cayenne wheels will fit ? and also if anybody has done a power upgrade for them yet ?

Touareg wheels are 5x130 PCD, Amarok are 5x 120. I like the look of the Amarok as well, just not sure I could accept driving a car built in Argentina.

What wheels would fit an amarok ??

The Amarok is far too new to know what will fit it, it is a completely new platform to me.

Got my local van centre calling me as soon as they get one in so I can go and have a test drive :)

Would of been nice to have a V6 TDI option though not just 2.0 TDI, will hold judgement until i have driven it though....

I agree about the v6, but having owned many vw's and other vag group cars the amarok drives just how you would expect, it not to under power [although a chip would'nt do any harm] the only problem is now they have delayed the launch until may and first customer deliveries in august, i am absolutely gutted , i want them now !!

I was told that they should be in the dealer end of March or beginning of April and available for delivery from then but only in limited numbers (Stoke van centre will be getting 15 this year).

Sounds like they might not be sure when they are coming....

DPF removal and map would be done asap if I end up going for one :)

Any opinion on the interior? Specifically the rear leg room with a tall driver (I'm 6'3")

I should get my highline wednesday, can't wait, i've ordered a set of wheels and then i'm going to get it chipped, i had a test drive in the dealers demo on thursday totally brilliant, makes 2011 hilux invincible 20 years out of date !!!!!!
