i am far from mechanically minded and also have a judder issue , my a5 is an 05 2.0 tdi with reasonably high mileage and its been chipped.
in november it started its judder it doesnt happen every day , can come and go at any speed and it feels like the engines gonna drop out .
Also the clutch pedal sometimes sticks half way .
i have had it looked at by a non audi mechanic who seemed to think it was probably the flywheel , and advised replacing that and the clutch , what do you think ??
If you knowledgeable types think hes right where should i go to order the parts , i live in Hampshire /wiltshire border .
oh also would i have a dual mass wotsit . many thanks .

i stupidly first posted this in the a5 forum :Blush2:

Not sure about your query but you might need to clarify what car you have. You've referred to your car as an A5 but comment on posting in the A5 lounge by mistake.

I'm guessing you have an A3?

Make sure you take it to a VAG specialist.

It could be the flywheel - known problem. Yes it is a DMF.

I would get whoever is going to repair it to provide the parts. Then you will have a warranty for the work done (incl. parts ) wheras if you bought them yourself and got someone to fit them you have no warranty at all. If something goes wrong the repairer could blame the part you supplied him with. !
