Steering Lock

Hi folks. I was wondering if anyone knows about how to go about replacing the electronic steering unit that goes onto the steering column ? I assume that it will be held on by sheer bolts ? Does anyone also know, will it need coded after replacing or is it just used as a slave control unit from the main imobiliser ?

Can only be done by a dealer because of the programing required. If it is a faulty lock, there is a repair kit option that the dealer can fit for about £300
