View Full Version : Please Help Electronic Parking on a B6 Passat. What over VAG cars use this system and are they the same?

Hi Guys,

I was speaking to my mechanic today and explained about the problems I had with the electric parking brake freezing and explained how costly they are to replace.

He said that he had replaced a rear motor on an Audi A6 and he thinks its the same system that is on the passat.

Help anyone? It seems alot cheaper option than replacing the lot

I can confirm that my Dad's Audi A6 has an electronic handbrake, works the exact same as my B6 though the switch is on the centre console next to the MMI controls.

The new shape Passat has the bottom down beside the gear stick. Didn't know other VAG cars used it.

Sorry :Blush2:. In the cold spell we had before christmas. we had 3 days of -11,-15,-17. I have not spoke to my mechanic for a few months due to work being so busy. And mentioned the problems that I had been getting.
