Since picking the car up on the 22nd December this has been the first chance I've got to give both the inside and outside of the car a good clean. It's turned out pretty good.

Blocked out the reg, my cherished is going on tomorrow. :)

I'll retrofit a set of front fogs when a set pops up again on eBay if funds allow (Saving for new house and wedding!) and I'll consider new wheels when the time comes to replace tyres. (It's got premium tyres all round at the moment with good tread. :))

Looks good, and almost identical to my Highline Plus as that's Reflex Silver too, but I have different alloys. I washed mine this afternoon as it hasn't been done since all the snow and grit, so was more than a bit dirty.

Now you need to check out Tomboy's threads to bring the spec up, auto hold, MFSW etc.

A nice simple addition is the chrome strip to your steering wheel - adds a little interest, even if you;'re not going to go to a full MFSW...

Cheers, I'll not be doing many mods on this car - I've spend thousands modding my past VW & Seat cars and find it's all money I'll never get back. :(

The wheels I'll not spend too much on, I'll wait until I need tyres ... and the foglights I'll be able to sell on when I change cars without too much issue.

How much spondoolicks did they rush you for it?


All you need now is the fogs, tints,dsg and some pointy downs, and it'll be as good as mine ;)

I'm in Beith mate, just over the hill... one of our directors stays in Largs, drives a White M3.

What do you drive? Cherished plate is on the car now, ends in BSN.

I was thinking hmm that looks familiar - I've got same car same colour same year. only difference is +DSG +fogs and +amp, -a bit of paintwork, -door light, -rear badges.

All in all yours is in quite a lot better nick, thats a great find. I think its a real shame they've done away with the SEL, it was a nice car. I'll be selling up before the summer I reckon but its a real wrench.

Looks nice but what's this obsession with fog lights? They don't actually improve vision in fog; you'll just leave them on and people will think you're a muppet.

I think a car without them always looks like a lower spec model, the chrome grill helps against this but the fogs would make it look better.
