I have the piano black inserts and after I saw this mod on another forum, I was wondering about trying myself.

The guy has also fitted OSIRusa.com silver D trim that finish it off nicely.

My wife thinks I'm just trying to 'Gary up' a nice car. What do you think guys? Hit or miss?

I hate "Piano Black" trim with a passion. I tiny spec of dust shows up and if you even touch it then it becomes scratched.

That's more of a surface issue than the colour as I think it looks quite nice.

I have noticed that my piano black inlays on my A4 are VERY sensitive to surface stratches. I have piano black inlays on my former car, a 2005 A3, which the missus now drives, and it was far less prone to stratching.

Perhaps one of those issue to look at in the 2011 facelift?
