Noise (from air con?) when car starts

Hi,

In the last few weeks I have had this annoying rattling noise happen generally when I start the car. It usually goes within about 10 seconds or so. It occasionally comes back for a few seconds en route. For the first time today it happened whilst the air con was NOT on.

I have taken a 30 second video and put it on YouTube of the noise being made.

It is an A4 2.0 diesel cabriolet, 2007 model and now out of warranty.

If you can offer any idea as to what it is, it would be much appreciated.

I guess it is a sticking motor or "flap". Move this post into the A4 B7 section on the forum, it may be that it has been seen before.
