Guy at work has a 93 Cab with 2.3 5cyl engine. It has an intermittent starting issue. We think it's an NG engine code.
It appears to be a hot start problem. It starts fine from cold and generally runs without spluttering missing etc but once switch off and warm it won't restart.
Any pointers on where to look. The AA recovered it and reckoned coil or dizzy. The garage who have it seem a little reluctant to buy a new new coil at £140 when the car isn't worth a great deal.
Any pointers appreciated!
I haven't looked at the car and probably won't get to either,

Phil

Could be the coolant temperature sender.

thanks crasher, quick reply. I didn't think there'd be many folk checking this forum. Any other common issues to look for. Is there a CPS on this engine?

It does not have one, it has a distributor hall sender (called a G40) and yes these can fail when they get hot but it would cause the engine to cut out whilst driving.
