Hi Guys,
My '56 Passat (1.9) has been good so far, but for the last few weeks, the brakes haven't worked 100% the first time of use in the morning. They are fine on the second use and the rest of the day.
Get in car, drive off, approach roundabout - no brakes.
Car was servived (40k) about 3 months ago.
Initially I thought this was something freezing (disks) when the weather was cold. It's 11c and damp today, so not that.

Problem never present at any other time of day. Could this be brake fluid issues maybe? (Changed it about 9 months ago, although might have been done again on the service anyway)

No faults being displayed on the dash.

Any ideas?

Many thanks.

Personally I wouldn't drive the car in that condition. What happens if an emergency arises before you get to the roundabout?

But if you insist, why not try the pedal a few times before moving off?

When you get to the roundabout, does your foot go to the floor?

Please don't move to France.;)

Best wishes

What does "no brakes" mean. Is the car not stopping, is the pedal feeling solid, does it go to the floor. You need to give more detail.
