If you are check it very closely :(

From Tyresmoke.net :

Their overflow car park is behind our work office as as im on the 2nd floor we look over it.

This morning there were 3 cars with the rear windscreens smashed (to take out the jacks i think) and then 6 cars in total have had the Alloys stolen. The first 3 cars look as they have been pushed off the jacks so they can use the jacks on the next 3 cars so they must be damaged from the drop.

All pre-registered cars inc 3 A4 estates and 2 TT's and a A5. I hope they dont take the short cut and just have a quick glance over and think yeah its fine and put some new rims on without considering reducing the value of the car/and or full replacement of damaged/scratched parts underneith.

Anyway, just thought id best post up so people are aware.

----

the a4 estates were the ones with the smashed rear windscreens. Also the cars were not touched till late afternoon when the police came round so the A5 he saw in the morning would have been alright. Also this was the A5 coupe which had it's rims nicked, not the saloon.

----

Just had a gander this morning.. it was 2 estates and a white audi TT with the rear window smashed. They have just started putting the rims on the cars now too. I say 'They' just one poor mechanic at the mo while a MY10 Range Rover with 2 suits watch him and try to figure out how they got in and out as they then drove up and down the car park pointing at the wall.

Well - there goes Audi Leeds' reputation.

Although, criminals will do anything to get their stuff - even secure car parks are no longer safe.

oh, wait

Git beat me to the punch

Easily approaching a million quids worth of cars there and seemingly no security whatsoever.

Hang on, how did they get in and out? From what you say, they just stole parts off the cars, right? Shame on them if they don't have adequate security!

As an aside, I wanted to buy my A4 from them but they were less than stellar. Went elsewhere.

Wish them luck!

Shows the wide range of paint Audi offers in that picture!

But joke aside, obviously it was planned but whoever done it has no consideration of what hassle its now gonna cause the dealership.

Wouldnt of liked to go to work and see that out the back!

I wonder how they got the locking nuts off the other cars?

I guess it saves paying £400-700 for alloys from audi. And the good thing about them alloys is at least they come fitted with tyres. (good tyres unlike the naff ones you get from most replica alloy supplier) :biglaugh:

My employer uses Leaseplan as its fleet provider, and stipulates that Leaseplan use only Leeds Audi as it's supplier for the Audis they provide. It may well be the case that some or all of the damaged cars are company cars.

Hmmm - guess where my A6 came from...

Yep - and I bet the people who buy them would be pi55ed off if theirs got nicked but I bet they don't check too hard when there's a bargain to be had !

I wonder what damage has been done to the disks, suspension, sills etc when they were dropped off the jacks :(

Do you think they'll tell the people picking up their cars ?

I picked up a new car some years back. It had overspray under the front wheelarch.

I guess manufacturing/storing/delivering/servicing cars is like any other business - things go wrong and you have to rectify them.
