Hi Guys,

I am looking for a bit of advice I recently changed from and Audi S4 into a RS6. The problem I am having is my baby seat that I had fitted for the S4 does not fit in the RS6. I contacted my Audi dealer who tried the Audi Reccaro seat in and that too does not fit. When I ask him if they could order me the correct seat they stated they won’t have one that fits.
Has anyone got any suggestions as to where I will get a seat that fits correctly? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What seat do you have?

I have an A6 avant with the following in the back:

Outside rear seat - Graco Junior high back booster (uses seat belt)
Middle Seat - Maxi Cosi Cabrio XP (using seat belt but has it's own buckles so I don;t have to undo the seat belt every time I get the kid out).
Outside Seat - Cheap Tesco booster (which is very narrow).

They all go in together and they all fit???

I've got an A6 avant with a couple of maxi cosi seats (not the baby seats, but the up to 5 years old seats) both fit in ok. The only problem have is being tall, I then have to move my seat forward so I drive with my knees around the steering wheel!

We currently have a Maxi Cosi Priorifix (up to 4 years old) and a CabrioFix (baby seat) in our A6 saloon, both using the Isofix fittings.

The CabrioFix is behind the drivers seat, which I couldn't comfortably do in our old Golf due to not being able to get the seat back far enough (I'm 6'2"). I've not tried the Priorifix behind the drivers seat yet; it'll be a few months before Euan outgrows his baby seat and needs the bigger seat, but I don't think it'll cause any problems with legroom.

They certainly fit in a normal A6 fine; don't know how the seats differ in an RS6 that would cause problems. I assume it has the Isofix points so presumably they can't be that different?

Neil.

Thanks guys the problem is it has bucket seats front and back which dip in at the base. I have got it booked in to get a seat fitted with Mother care next week I will keep you informed how I get on.

maxi cosi's are good as the base is narrower than the seat width.

Failing that, get a coachtrimmer to make a a foam insert that levels the seat so the child seat sits flat. I did that in my old Golf.
