I am due to be leaving my current job to set up on my own Ltd company. I am going to have to give back my A4 B8 company car and try for the first time to source my own. I need to find the cheapest option to get an S-line.
Any experiences or recommendations as to methods, finance, purchase contract hire. The bad news is I do about 30,000 miles a year and I fear I will not be able remain in the Audi B8 community.....

If your going to use the A4 solely for business then its a totally allowable business expense. Contact hire is probable the cheapest route but the problem might be finding a good spec car. Don't always say that your going to do 30K miles a year. It might be cheaper to say 20K miles and pay the extra mileage charge. Speak to your accountant, he will probable be able to give you good advice. If not change accountants! LOL

I suggest you try Clydesdale Bank Asset Finance. Good rates when I enquired.

I am a ltd company and like you do high miles. 30K business miles is worth £9K a year tax free if you only claim the mileage. I went with the PCP deal as there was an incentive from Audi, which meant I could still haggle with the dealer irrespective of this amount :)

I have worked in car sales and would always recommend that you grit your teeth and let the salesperson talk you though all the finance options. The PCP will probably have the advantage of the rules of halves and thirds, which might be a slight security blanket if you are starting up in business. HP will also give you this protection as well btw
