G'day everybody,
I got this little issue with my 1998 Polo here in Sydney and thought I might get in touch with you chaps who might be able to help as the Polo is a rather rare car here and faults are slightly less known as a result.
The weather has been hell lately, similar to the one in England atm. and I had all the bloody water in the car from all that rain we've had, but in the fond only. It was a bloody lake in there indeed ! Anybody in my situation ? Now, (this is my guess) I recall that VW in the past used some sort of foil in the doors to keep the water out, however, due to the extremely hot weather conditions here in Oz, these have started shrinking and I wonder if that may be the cause for the incoming water as seats (in the fond where the water comes in) are dry and rubbers around the window in great condition. Anybody having similar issues ? It is actually really bad, spent 40 mins two days ago to get the crap out.
What are your thoughts ?
Cheers
- Nick
