When driving, ive noticed that my temperature gauge is not reaching the 90 mark. It tends to stay in between 60 and 90. I know it has been cold as of late, but Ive noticed that other cars in the same condition do go up to 90 mark

The heater work

The coolant seems to be ok and i cant see any visable leaks. The oil doesnt show any residue.

Could this be due to a faulty thermostat?

Mine did this, put a new thermostat in and sits at 90 everytime now. :-)

just cost me £60 at a local independent to get a new stat fitted and new coolant added.

Dont buy an aftermarket one.I learnt the hard way.
For an extra few quid get an audi one.
