Whats my bhp?

First of all happy new year to everyone.

Was just needing to know what my bhp for my car, its 2tdi but i don't know if its a 140 or 170

I read your tag line for the type of car you have. And looked at the 2ltr TDI diesel Quattro part of the page posted above. However its based on a new A3.

Sorry to be a pest bringing this up again but i was just needing to know how you can find out which bhp you have. If there is anything written in the car or not? Just curious to know thats all. I am aware that my car can be a 140 or 170 brake.

Look in the front cover of the service booklet- this will have the build sticker with all the option codes and more importantly the engine code and power in kW.

103kW = 140ps
125kw = 170ps

Thanks kodkod.84, had a wee look in my service book and i found it out. It's the 140bhp version.

how old is your A3? As An A3 built now, with your model type is 170bhp.

My car is a 55plate 2006. At that time they were built as both a 140 and 170 brake.
