Hi everyone,
Seems i,m busy on here and busy attending my local audi for parts, too many b---dy toys on my car, anyway i found after scanning my car that the right middle sensor seems faulty, leaving the reversing alarm inoperable.
Having tried the search button, nothing shows on buying aftermarket or non genuine audi replacement sensors, i have 1 sensor gone, audi quote just short of £100 which includes paint for my colour code, that seems ridicoulas.
I haven,t yet give up hope that the sensor can be saved, but thats a bumper off job, it would be nice if i have a back-up plan before hand.

Anyway thanks in-hand for any info you can give.

Thanks ben, i,ve seen loads on ebay, supposedly suitable for my a4, but i have the factory fitted sensors and was basically checking wheather anyone can recommend a suitable make that would work with the other sensors that i won,t be replacing.
To be honest i should have worded my question better, i should have asked, can my factory fitted reversing sensors be exchanged if faulty, by an aftermarket sensor from a non audi source, hope that makes sense, lol.

Thanks john

you can fit oem rear park and replace all components if they fail
oem retro fit kit http://www.kufatec.de/shop/product_info.php/info/p1015_c118_APS-Audi-Parking-System---Rear-Retrofit---Audi-A4-B7.html

also you can fit the aftermarket audi approved kit and again parts are available

the audi aftermarket kit is supplied by cobra and they can be purchased direct from cobra at a fraction of the cost

Your the man a8, thanks very much for your valuble time, i,m already up on about £1000 of repairs this week, thats if i bother to complete the intake manifold motor, flap and manifold as recommended by audi,
although I think i can get away from this one at the moment, the motor still works and the connecting rods still look safe, i think its just the calibrations out slightly, it also looks like the fault as been there for a very long time, and seems to have no effect on the car.

Anyway thanks again,
john
