Festive greetings. I have a 1999 2.4 V6 automatic. After running for approximately 20 miles of normal driving then engine just dies. The engine looses revs, stalls and it slows to a stop. All electrics are fine and engine turns but will not fire.
There is a horrible smell of sulphur (catalytic convertor).
Let it cool for apprx 15 mins and it fires up and drives as normal.
After a couple of miles revs drop - engine dies - comes to a stop. Smell of sulphur and the process starts all over again.
Any ideas before I get a diagnostic check.
