hi all
more woes yesterday the car was whining in 4th and kept jumping out of 5th there is now a chattering noise that goes away when the clutch is depressed the noise is not constant but getting louder with a sticky change on 3/4/5 any info would be great before i take it to a garage cheers john

Clutch release bearing and / or finger(s) on the clutch cover being damaged or broken.
Does it stop almost as soon as you start to press the clutch, like as soon as you can feel it starting to disengage?

yes and if you press the clutch and start it no noise as soon as you let the clutch up its noisy thanks for the info new clutch i think
