help with speedo

ive just got hold of a 2007 a3 quattro sline and am unsure about the speedo setup as ive not worked on such a modern audi ive been told that its an electric set up and ther is a link to the imobiliser, i would be very gratefull for any help to do with the location speedo cable cheers

hi mate the speedo is controled through the ECU and iirc that gets its info from the ABS, your right the imob is built in to the speedo head as well as the ECU, have you got problems with yours?
