Hi boys i just signed up and i am not sure if i am in the right forum.
My mother got a mk4 02 plate golf GTI TDI 150 hyline. Now she is having trouble with it. Every time she puts her foot down the car just holds back and losses BIG power and she got to pull over and turn the engine off and wait a couple of minutes before she can pull off again. Now the engine management light DON'T come on when this happens, any idea's what could cause this??
I do know that the turbo makes a louder whistling noise than normal when she pulls off from any junction or plods along in 6th gear at low speed. And it only goes quiet when its boosting under full pressure after 2nd gear +
any ideas what it could be??
