New A4 owner with a couple questions

Hi there. Joined a couple days ago and have a few things I'd like to ask of someone.

I have nearly everything ready for a full service on the car. Done a couple things already like fuel filter. Tomorrow I'll be doing an oil and filter change.

One of my questions is: How much oil does the 2.4 30v engine take? I know that the 2.8 30v takes 5 litres, but some places say 5.7 and others say 6.

The other is: Where is the oil filter located? I know that the 1.8 20v is at the back of the block underneath the expansion tank. Is that the case here too?

Cant say for sure how much it holds but my 2.8 filter is on the front nearside of the engine right at the bottom, by the under belly tray.if you look from the top you should se it. If you have a manual with the car it should tell you in that how much it holds. I bought 2 4 litre containers for mine and what i do not use on the change i use for topping up. By the time it has all run out its time to change it again. I think it is a bit of an oil guzzling engine or maybe thats just mine.

Thanks for the tip with the oil filter. I'll have a gander tomorrow morning.

The Millers website tells me the car takes 6 litres. So it looks like I'm going to the motorfactors again for more oil lol.

This one doesn't seem to burn oil. Level in the dipstick's not moved, and the HC's on the emissions test were low. I have heard that 30v lumps like a drink though.
