Hi guys. I've got an Audi a4 se 1.8 and over the last few weeks the engine management light has been on. It was running fine up until the last week where I'd put petrol in it and it would consume it incredibly quickly. Today I put £35 worth in which read on the digital gauge as 285miles but I've only driven 50 or so miles and it died on me earlier this evening. It's done this a few times and I'm not 100% but think the injectors must need replacing. There's no fuel leaking from the car that I can see anyways. The power and general performance if the car is spot on, just this fuel thing bugging me and obviously getting expensive and unreliable. Please help guys :(

Did you try with additives like fuel injector cleaner?! Check your filters like air filter gasoline filter fuel up your tank and buy some gasoline additives
My fuel rate went for 34km/galon to 19km/galon only for non replacing my air filter and the gasoline plus my injectors where dirty as hell
So I buy some injector cleaners fuel up with premiun and check again and my fuel rate when back to normal =)

your best bet is a code read, you could have an air leak somewhere which would increase your fuel cosumption................
