1997 golf 2.0 gti antifreeze Q

hi all hope some one can help, i have just got myself a golf gti and the water in the expansion tank is brown and mucky (rusty water) so i am going to rad flush this weekend and put some fresh antifreeze into it, does any one know the capacity of the water system (i think its 5ltrs) and what the mix should be.

use some cooling system cleaner purchased from local motorist centre
flush several times
50/50 mix g12 antifreeze 2 bottles = 3ltrs

I flushed the system at the weekend and refilled with 5.5 ltrs of ready mixed pink antifreeze.
