Spoke to Kahn about the wheels that I am very, very, very interested in buying! They are Kahn RSV 2 :D. I could not find a cheap set of 19's anywhere else, apart from Kahn themselves. Asking price from them is £1100 without tyres. Do you think it's worth paying that much?

Heres the pic:

Nope, not enough metal, too skinny veined to suit a B6.

This is what you want if you want some wow

A vote for the non-skinny wheels here - However, £1100 without tyres seems pretty steep....

I wouldnt bother with Kahn. Seen too many of them crack. Not worth the money imo.

Try these, see what I mean about more metal, theses are similar but have move veins.

I woudnt personally pay money for Kahn wheels. I remember seeing a set that were on a Merc Merc ML. Guy hit a brick in the road at it punctured a 4" hole in the rim. Also don't think ther overly good looking and don't look like what there worth.

I agree that some wheels don't suit the Passat but I do like the slimmer spokes and less of them. My new wheels should be on this Friday.

I like the new RS6 replica wheels on a passat.

Agreed. They do look smart, so does the high def front bumper! But the problem is, especially in northern Ireland, is that every Tom **** and Harry will have them!

Zeb, if I was spending £1100 on alloys, I would be looking in the direction of BBS! ;)

I must say they do look very sexy on the Passat. I went on UKPassat forum, and one of the member has these wheels on his ride. Even has the same colour as mines. I have been searching for BBS, they suit will the car perfectly.
I am after a set of deep dish rims.

Would BBS sell deep dish rims?

Correct. Here's another set.

These are 9.5 rears but there replicas. BBS will make you your choice of alloys in what ever size width and dish you like! That is if you have the the money for it. Wheels I'm getting are dished and staggered (rear wheel and dish is wider)

Here's what I'm getting. Haven't posted these online yet so a sneak peak

^ They look very impressive ;) The BBS LM's gives the Passat that special look, and I was considering to buy a set of them. However, the only thing that makes me think twice is that the fact, loads of people have put them wheels on their vehicle. Seems to me they are very common! That's what puts me off :(

How about these BBS wheels.

http://img249.imageshack.us/img249/6574/imag0242k.jpg

I looked ages for a set of deep dish set of 19's but not many people make them with offsets to suit the Passat.

Got lucky with a set of dished 20's and lowered on coilovers i can ride with 3 passengers with no rubbing at all.

My rear wheels will be 19x9.5 et35. Should be a tight fit ;) but I like a wheels that sits flush with the body work and I like a challenge! I was going to go for the LM replicas but your right, quite common. There's plenty of choices of wheels out there. Took me 2 months of searching to find these and now been waiting 6 weeks for them to arrive!

i was going to get a set of either the sl65 style wheels, or BBS LM's.

Ended up getting some 17" wheels for cheaps, but they have a crazy offset as some of you know haha

The colour of my Passat is Shadow Blue, and dark wheels won't look good on them. I want either chrome look wheels, or Silver polished wheels!

These are a winner for me! They look stunning! Also look at the Cades tyrus but they looked to much like a bad set of LM replicas for me. Check out the Fuel 5 and Fuel 6 alloys.

Et32 is easily doable et25 could be done but your pushing your luck and your arches. I've ran merc wheels before no problem. Just need spigot rigs for the centres.

You think et 32 is crazy, you should see what brightside is planning!!

Also for custom wheels, check out image alloys. Here's some on a b6 with et25 if iirc.

ahaha planning ;)

If they dont work, they're just getting sold on, but I do want to run crazy offset's.

I was working out the load ratings of some tyres, sorry but just on a sidenote, does anybody happen to know the kerb weight of a 2.0tdi estate?

I got told about 1.7tonne, anybody clarify that?

g-black
23-11-2010, 09:03 PM
Should be in your tax book is it not? Axle weight is on the bottom of the passenger B pillar I know that, but is it the same thing?

Et35 is enough for me with 19s coils and a daily driver!

good thinking batman. I'll check it out.

If it dosnt work out, I'l either flog them and get some LM rep's, or try them on my polo as that can have more mods to get them to fit lol

Those are the exact same size and offset as the bentley wheels I had so I can garantee they will fit perfectly. I bought a set for my first B6 but they were et51.

http://i626.photobucket.com/albums/tt349/gblackb6/Passat/97c60203.jpg

Theres a guy on UKPassat that is fitting a set off these soon. Wish I had kept them now. Speedlines for £600 is a bargain. If I had the spare cash I would be snapping them up myself!!!

Your right, theres a guy who is looking to put these on UKPassats! Will they cover the arches? Mines a sport! The price is right on the Speedline wheels, will give him a call and see if he would come below the asking price. In the meantime I will keep on searching for a nice set of deep dish rims :) I contaced IForged, they said the cost of the wheels will be $3200 I think including shipping with tyres. the link is on this thread from me.

Update: Offset is ET41 - Will they fit?

Zeb, are you lowering your sport? If your going for 19" esp with a dish, youll need to go a bit lower!

Zeb, are you lowering your sport? If your going for 19" esp with a dish, youll need to go a bit lower!

Nope, I thought they will look good with 19's, without lowering the car. I don't want to ruin the sport suspension by replacing a different set. My plan was to put the 19's only in the summer!

The standard sport set up is a very hard ride. Have heard quite a few different people saying that with a decent set off coilovers, the ride actually gets more comfortable. I'll find out of this is true or not this weekend.

Made for VAG so a straight fit and perfect offset. For comfort and look, you'll want them with offset et45.

I was looking around for a good deal on the BBS lm 19's. Luckily someone has offered me £790 8.5x19 fronts, and 9.5x19 rears with tyres and delivered online. The only trouble is that I am looking to buy these wheels next Jan 2011, as I have spent loads of money on other various things :(

I don't know what to do! I am desperate to buy these wheels right now, but at the same time I don't have enough funds :(

Suggestions?

I'm in the same boat! Haven't a penny to my name after getting the wheels and coilovers. Now it's Christmas time and the girlfriends birthday soon. She keeps hinting at a ring. I laugh!!

What condition are the wheels and what brand are the tyres? I'm assuming it's a private seller and they can't do finance and or hold the wheels till the new year?

The wheels are brand new, with brand new tyres. Don't know what makes are the tyres! The seller is an ebay seller, so I'm guessing he could be a trader or something. I've been quoted for the same wheels with tyres for around £900! and this seller is only asking £790 inc p&p.

Update: I'm after Anthracite ones not the normal look....Silver!
