New A4 Avant owner :)

Well, after a bit of searching I have found a used A4 Avant and put a deposit down.

It is a 58 Plate . SE 3.0 tdi Quattro, with loads of options ticked. I am sure I will be asking lots of questions when I pick it up - hopefully next week.


- Is there a copy of a sales brochure available on line for a 08/58 plate car ? I guess some things are different now, compared to 08.

- Anyone recently put a private plate on retention. How long did the paperwork take to come through?

- Audi Approved car scheme.. There are a few small scratches on the car. Is it resonable to assume that these will all be rectified prior to me picking the car up. It had not gone through any prep when I viewed as they had only just taken delivery.

Get them to rectify any blemishes. Enjoy the car I love my 3.00tdi !

Make sure you mention it to them and inspect carefully when you go to pick up - if conditions are dark and wet ask them to have the car under cover and dry when you come to collect. It is not unheard of for a novice with a machine polisher (and some filler heavy polish) to have a go and so it may take a few weeks for marks to reappear (along with micro marring on the paintwork from a hasty machine polish). Ideally bring along an LED torch as these are handy for checking paint defects.

Yep thanks, will go over on Saturday and get them to mark all the items to be repaired on a car check sheet.

Oh, and why is it people cant drive without kurbing alloys. All 4 alloys are needed to be refurbed on the car...
