A4 Climate Control flickering display

Hello everyone, I recently found that the climate control display is flickering on my B5 A4 1995. All the buttons working fime just sometimes no display (dim) sometimes shows up when i use my finger to press the edges. Is it something wrong with LCD controller? not well conection? How to solve this tricky problem? Thanks

I did mine a few years back, it was suffering the same problem, remove the air con digital display front panel (access through radio apeture) and re-solder the connections on the back, approx 16 connections in 2 rows. Your problem is simply a dry solder joint.

This is a common problem.
I had the same problem with mine. I had to remove the climate control display and re-solder the back of unit and all is working fine now.
