How do I remove centre of fan

Hi,

I am trying to strip down to water pump housing, and don't know how to remove the metal centre of the fan, i was told to try pushing the pin in the centre and pull the metal centre of the fan off. is this right 'cos i've tried but it wouldn't budge :zx11:

32mm reverse threaded nut.

I could have done with those pics when I tried! Very helpful. It can be done without the special tool but it's much more fiddley to hold. The hex (6mm or 8mm?) at the back is a normal thread and very tight (about 45Nm).
