Hi There,
i wondered if anyvody can offer some advice. On driving to work this morning it felt like in 2nd gear above 2000rpm the car struggled to accelerate, same in 3rd. Revs go up normally but the speed doesn't it just creeps up very slow - its drivable but im a little worried.
What might this be caused by?

Could be the clutch slipping.

Could be MAP sensor, which will need a fault scan
to confirm.
Have a look for damaged vacuum hoses first.

Jim
Sorry, just read your post properly, it does indeed seem like a slipping clutch.

Thanks - i think the clutch is fine, it was only inspected about a month ago when serviced. From what ive read on here iti sounds like a MAF Sensor?? They cause similar symptoms right?

If it is the MAF, you should feel a drop in top speed too. I suppose you are not in Germany to be able to easily test that :D
Before getting a new MAF I would check the error codes using a diagnostic tool. You may for example simply have your EGR stuck open and it will feel lazy too!

You need to get the fault codes read to see if the ecu is seeing any problems. Most garages should be able to do a scan, or see if there's anyone local to you on here that can do it.
