Hi all right im looking for some thoughts on the following thing
at some point (we all will) i will have to replace my dual mass and clutch, so here is what im thinking, will a 6sp 2lt tdi box bolt on to my 1.9 (i think it will just checking) will my 1.9 mounts fit and gear change cables? and one otherthing, will my 1.9 d/shafts bolt onto the 6sp d/shaft flanges? the way im looking at it is a 2lt flywheel and clutch is the same price as a 1.9, and also at 70mph the 6sp is at lower revs so will do afew (maybe 5) miles more to the gallon, i know it will take a few miles before the box would have paid for itself but ive already done 13,000 miles in 7 months so it wont take long
any advice would be great
p.s one other thing ive seen 2/3 different gearbox codes, is that to do with different diff ratios?
