What should I buy

Thinking about buying the wife an A3 TDI Sportback (up to 3 years old)so would like to know whether I should go for 1.9 tdi or 2.0 tdi (140 or 170), the car will be doing mainly long motorway commutes (100 miles - 3 times a week) and tottering around at the weekend.

I'm hoping to get a one owner with Audi FSH , are there any issues I need to know about or common problems etc. All advice is appreciated.:beerchug:

If it were me, I would be looking for a 140 or 170 2.0Ltr common rail injection engine, I believe these were introduced in about 2008 alongside the PD engine. If you dont know how to tell the difference all PD engines have 3 letter engine codes; CR engines have 4 letter engine codes, these can be found on the paper sticker in the front of the service book.
