boot light

Hi i have revently fixed the boot on my a4 avant as it wouldnt open unless i used the key,i replaced the boot lock actuator and now boot opens with key fob and button on boot:biglaugh:.

however i still cant get boot light to come on when boot opens,all the main interior lights come on when i open the doors,and boot light works if i turn it on manually,i cant find boot light swith in the boot,is it in the lock mechanism itself as theres wires going there? and i cant see a swith after checking all round inner edge of boot lid neither:1zhelp:

It`ll be in the locking mechanism.

i thought that to be honest,can the lock mechanism be opened up to fix the light switch or do you just buy a new mechanism?

Dont think so, but i would check the wiring back from the boot lamp to the mechanism for damage etc. first of all.
