Passenger door lock sensor

Hi, I have a Audi A4 1.9tdi x reg 2000
When the passenger door is used I have problems when locking the car. The alarm will start to sound after 1-2 mins.
I have noticed after the first time that, the light on the door will stay on while driving. The door is closed but the light will stay on and the foot well light will also be on. The will flash from time to time as well. When someone gets out of the passenger seat I find my self spending anything from 30 sec’s to 10 mins to get the light to turn off. I have to keep opening the door and closing it. It has been driving me mad. To the point I have got ppl to sit in the back seats.

Has anyone else had this problem and if so can you help

had this problem with my audi a4 2001 reg it was the wiring loom in the door dodgy connection

by any chance do u remeber how much this cost to get fixed.
