Water pump

Can anybody guide me through the process of changing the water pump. Im told you have to remove the belt and im looking for good techniques for doing this right.

hi mate welcome to the site, you need to remove the front bumper, then remove the timing belt then you can remove the water pump, if you use the search button there should be a guide in there

Knowing what engine you've got would be a good start. It's definately not a job to do if you've never changed a timing belt before.

Sorry noob info. Audi a4 b6 1.6 alz and no i havnt changed one before but I have no choice with my current cash flow and need for car:(

if you havent done one before then i think it will be alot of work for you, but also a good way to learn (how not to bend valves) up the top of each page is the word search, if you click that button then in the little window put in adi a4 water pump, or anything you like it will search the forum for threads and posts about the key words you have typed in have a look thro that
