Smart Wipers?

In my 2nd week of new A3 Tdi ownership and so far so good. One slight disappointment is that the wipers don't appear to have any sort of smart function (e.g. they don't stop/slow down when the car is stationary leading to smearing/juddering if the rain is light). I'm sure my first mk1 A3 (over 10 years ago!) had this function as did more recent Seat's and VWs. Anyone else noted this?

they do...i believe it needs to be on the first setting. If its on constant wipers fast/super fast then after awhile they do slow down when the car is stationary. Say at lights.

I've got a 55plate and mine does it with the wipers on constant and very fast.
