Hi all!

after approx 10 miles of driving my brake pedal travels completly to the floor and i have little or no braking!

In April of this year the previous owner took the car to a tyre centre and had a service and new flexi lines discs and pads,

I brought the car end of July not long after the brake warning light came on, I checked the level and it was low so topped this up.

I usually only use the vehicle for my daily commute of less than 5 miles on one occasion i took the car for a long trip the brakes failed completly, I checked the lines etc and the front Lh line was loose and leaking I tightened this and all seemed fine again until another 10 mile + trip. I took the car back to the shop that carried out the work they re-bled the system and returned the car with the fluid well over the Max line! they also informed me sometimes brake lines "work loose" (something i've never came across in years of being a motorcycle mechanic!!)

the car is still doing the same after approx 10 miles there is an intermittent high pitched squeek shortly after this the pedal will travel to the floor, sometimes it will be fine after 5-10 mins of standing sometimes not

any help would be greatfully appreciatred whilst i am familiar with hydraulics i'm not too sure with the servo and abs pump side of things

Thanks

Hey, yes I intend to do this but wasn't sure if anyone had any ideas as the first garage couldn't find the fault, and i know some of the pumps etc can be expensive and didn't want to get "tucked up"

It's impossible to diagnose this without being hands-on.

Tell them to check-out the master cylinder and servo.
