Boot Lock 2000 A4 quattro salloon

The boot on my quattro sallon, dosent want to stay shut.

When you close the boot, it tries to engauge, but you can lift it up again without touching any part of the locking mechanism. (electric solenoid type locking, not vacuum)

even if you lock it remotely or manually, it stil opens, and the lights on the dash are flashing to say its open.

Does thecatch need ajusting, or is there something more fundimental.

Any help is apprciated.

hi, on my estate there is a long black plastic adjuster that goes to the lock, you need to turn the adjuster.
